Lorong Selamat is famous for this particular coffee shop that serve arguably the best fried koay teow in Penang Island. The name of the coffee shop is Cafe Heng Huat. At good days, you have to wait for almost an hour for a plate of the delicacy. However, you can order side dishes such as ‘popiah’ or ‘lor bak’ from nearby hawker stalls into the coffee shop to temporary fill your hunger pang. It is served with 3 big prawns and it costs RM6 a plate.
