Kek Lok Si Temple

Botanical Garden
The 72-acre gardens are famous for their flora and Long-Tailed Macaque monkeys which roam freely. The garden were created in 1884 as a nursery for the planting of tropical plants.
Sleeping Buddha
This Buddhist temple houses a 33-metre long reclining Buddha draped in a gold-leaved saffron robe.
Kapitan Keling Mosque
Founded in 1801 by an Indian-Muslim merchant, Cauder Mydin Merican, this is one of the oldest mosques in Penang. It is crowned by distinctive black domes and has influences of Moorish architecture. Permission to enter must be obtained from mosque officials.
