Inside the food court of the market near Sunshine Square is one drink stall that sell very cheap ice blended drinks. There are many drink stall in the food court, but the one that is popular among locals is Ah Aun Cafe. It has many type of ice blended drinks, but my favorite is red bean ice blended. It only cost RM1, cheaper than barley ice at some places.

Be sure to sit near the stall if you want to order from the stall because they have this territory thing going on. If you sit at the wrong territory, you can only order from that territory’s drink stall.

Nothing beats a sunny afternoon with Penang’s favorite dessert; Cendol. It is made from crushed ice, soaked in gula Melaka and coconut milk, covered with kidney beans and cendol. The best cendol in Penang is located at Penang Road. You can have it while standing beside the stall or inside Joo Hooi coffee shop. However, you have to pay extra RM0.50 if you have it inside the coffee shop. There are 2 cendol stalls located across each other claiming to be the famous Penang road cendol stall, but you can tell the difference by looking at the number of people queuing up for the mouth watering dessert.
